Do I really need an 800# to compete in today’s marketplace? The answer to this question is, only if you want to do more business. History tells us that if you and your competition sell the exact same product, and your competition has an 800# and you don’t, chances are the person that has the 800# will get the sale. Just look at your own purchasing habits, do you look for an 800# to call? The fact is that an 800# is so inexpensive at this point you have to have one. Ask yourself this one question. Would you want to lose a sale for 4 cents? That’s what it cost per minute to have a client call you. In addition the 4 cents is billed in 6 second increments with no monthly service charge. What does this mean to you? If a client calls you and you spend 30 seconds on the phone, that call only cost you 2 cents. Your ATT’s, MCI’s and Sprints all have a monthly service charge for an 800# ranging in price from $4.95 to $11.95 per line. Plus their per minute fee is anywhere from 10 cents to 18 cents rounded off per minute. 800 service is so inexpensive at this point, many parents are putting the service on their home numbers for kids away at college or just so they don’t need to hear the excuse from their 17 year old that they didn’t have any change to call to tell someone they were going to be an hour late getting home. As parents we have all paced the floor wondering if our child was in a car accident etc., when all we need is a phone call to let us know everything is okay. By having an 800# your child can call from anywhere. As Seen On WebHostingAnalyst |
